bandensis pulk

Tillandsia bandensis pulk

Originated from Uruguay, Paraguay, Argentina, Brazil and Bolivia, where it grows in areas located 500-2 000 meters high. Its name comes after ‘Banda’ territory, Uruguay, where the plant was discovered in the end of the 19th century. Recommended for ‘air plant beginners’ as it is easy to take care of. Even though that is spread well across the south-american countries, it is rarely offered for commercial sale. Its flowers are small, but attractive in lilac colour, with a mild aroma. Prefers a bright place and misting/soaking is required every 1,5 weeks.
