Tillandsia caput medusae

This species is spread across Mexico and Central-America at heights from 40 to 2400 meters. Similarly to other Tillandsia, this plant also forms air-filled spaces from its leaves, which can also store water for drought periods. The wavy leaves and dense body makes a special, “medusa” like appearance, which makes it a very popular plant amongst air plant enthusiasts. The flower leaves are pink, while the flower itself is purple. It can make a very decorative colony by producing several small offspring. It needs spraying only once in every 1-2 weeks.

This air plant is available from our webshop either by itself or part of a terrarium kit.
